FAQ – Bridal Make-up

Bridal Make-up Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How early should I book my make-up trial?

A. Ideally 6 months before your wedding date is a good time to have your trial make-up.  In saying that, if there is short notice I am flexible providing I have available time on your chosen date.  Allow 1 hour for your trial make-up

Q. How much time should we allow for getting ready on the wedding day?

A. Make-up on the wedding day is 30 mins per person (allow 10mins extra for lash application).  Hair timing will vary depending on length & quantity of hair and style chosen.  I suggest you consult your Hairdresser direct regarding hair timing.

Q. Are you mobile on the wedding day?  Can you come to us?

A. Yes I am mobile and come to you and your bridal party on the day.  No travel fee for Northern Beaches based weddings.  Small additional travel charge for greater Sydney area.

Q. Will the make-up last all day & night?

A. The method & high quality of products I use for make-up application allow for 12 hours coverage.  This will confidently take you from day to evening glamour without the need to re-apply.

Q. Does the make-up need to be ‘caked on/ heavy’ so the photos look good?

A. In my opinion NO, the make-up looks just as beautiful on your face in real life as it does on camera, especially when using the services of a Professional Photographer.  A reassuring statement for women who want to look like a bride on their wedding day BUT also still look and feel like themselves.

Q. Can you recommend a mobile Hairdresser for the wedding day?

A. Yes I have local Hairdressers I work with that I trust and are very reliable on the wedding day.  The quality of work is exceptional and I have built a relationship with these professionals over many years working in the wedding industry.
